Residential and Commercial Land Sales in San Francisco Bay Area
Before establishing his own brokerage company, Bob joined Colliers Parrish International, Inc. in 1981 after the air traffic controllers strike grounded his airline pilot career. He immediately became one of the top producers for the company representing R&D tenants in the leasing of corporate facilities, residential home builders and landowners. Some of the more notable industrial clients were Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard and Mission West Properties. Residential builders included Toll Brothers, William Lyon Homes, Citation Homes, Pulte Homes, Braddock & Logan, D.R. Horton, Summerhill Homes & KB Homes. This experience in leasing, and the shortage of land for development, led him to his natural expertise—entitlement land sales. Bob’s understanding of the CEQA law (California Environmental Quality Act) and the complexities involved with municipal codes and General Plans of the cities allowed him to bring increased value to his client’s properties. Gaining entitlements to develop properties often times involved such knowledge to allow the up-zoning of a client’s property(s) and hence increasing the true value of the clients' holdings.
Since 1985 he has specialized in the sale and acquisition of commercial, industrial and residential land for development. Much of his success has come from understanding and accomplishing complicated land-use changes in order to achieve the highest and best use for the properties. Current and past experience in single and multi-family mixed-use residential housing along with complimentary retail components have garnered successful sales as illustrated in past transactions on his web page.
